Sydney and sick

Friday, February 27th, 2009

We’re going down to Sydney tomorrow for he is going to visit his grandmother and help her out with some chores around the house. He was also going to pick up a table there that’ll be our dining table, and I was supposed to go to help out with the lifting, etc.

So of course, it would be the perfect time for me to come down with somthing, no?

I’ve been feeling like crap since this afternoon, and now I think I’ve got a cold coming on.

Flowers make me happy

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

His family home is surrounded by many beautiful flowers and trees, and they are such a joy to have around.

When we move in to our own place soon, I hope we can fill our house and garden with as many wonderful flowers too.

And it was supposed to be fun

Sometimes, I read about so many catfights and so much wank online to do with the dolly hobby that I just want to dissociate myself with the whole thing.

I guess that’s partly why I losing the enjoyment of sharing my dolly hobby with others in forums and on Flickr? I still love the dolls I have, but it’s become a more personal interest – I find I have the need to share and get approval (in a sense) from others.

Anyway, I’m off back to Melbourne tomorrow till Saturday. Cannot wait to see the family and catch up with a few friends again!

Trying

I’m trying so hard, but I wonder if he knows that?

There are so many things that I wish we could agree on – they’re little things, really, but they add up.

Lunar New Year 2009

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Had a small and quiet celebration to usher in the Year of the Ox with mom, dad and sis (she’s the one in the photo taking food photos like me!). Even though we have meals together all the time, it is always extra special when it comes  to reunion dinner to be able to spend it together as a family.

Going to move to Newcastle in a weeks’  time, and who knows what the future holds? Whatever it may be, I hope I can still spend Lunar New Year and have reunion dinners with my family for many years to come.
